Home  >  Support the Perkins  >  Leave A Gift In Your Will

Thank you for having the foresight to consider including a bequest to the Perkins in your Will and sharing our mission for a world without devastating disease.

The Perkins needs visionary supporters like you who understand that by leaving a gift in your Will, no matter the size, you’re ensuring the continuance of research that could one day make life-threatening diseases treatable and liveable for you and your loved ones.

As a charity, the Perkins relies entirely on donations and successful grants. Everything we do is made possible by people like you, and is to provide a better future for families like yours.

Your gift will stay in WA and provide funding security to Perkins researchers looking into diseases that too often take away the people we love – cancer, heart disease, diabetes and rare genetic diseases.

“It’s important to me to support medical research here in WA.

You give people in our community, including our own families, the best chance of long and happy lives together.”

Below is some suggested wording that you may choose to include in your Will, and some legal information about our organisation that will be of use to you and your solicitor.

We suggest the following wording be used in the drafting of a Will.
The wording must specify Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research Inc.

“I ____ give and bequeath to the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research, of 6 Verdun St, NEDLANDS, WA, 6009 (ABN 16 823 190 402) for the use and purposes of the said Institute: (select one from the list below)

1. the residue (or % of the residue) of my estate
2. a % of my estate
3. a sum of $__________________

free of all taxes and estate duties. I direct that the receipt of the Treasurer or a Proper Officer of the Institute authorised to act on his/her behalf shall be sufficient discharge to my executors.”
