“The light at the end of the tunnel – utilising molecular imaging techniques to better understand vascular diseases”
Dr Jamie Bellinge
Post Doctoral Research Fellow
Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School
Dr Jamie Bellinge (MBBS, PhD) is an advanced trainee in nuclear medicine and an early-career researcher in the same field. He completed his PhD at the University of Western Australia in 2022, focusing on the utility of a novel molecular imaging approach to identify active arterial calcification within the coronary arteries. In 2024, Dr Bellinge undertook a research fellowship at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital, supported by a Fulbright Scholarship and an RACP Research Establishment Fellowship. His work there investigated the application of a thrombus-binding molecular imaging agent in venous thromboembolic diseases. To date, Dr Bellinge has secured over $500,000 in competitive research funding, authored or co-authored more than 30 peer-reviewed publications, and holds a H-index of 11. He is passionate about harnessing molecular imaging technologies to better understand vascular disease, driving innovation in molecular imaging acquisition and analysis, and fostering collaborative imaging networks in Western Australia.
A light lunch will be served in the foyer following the presentation.
