Profile

Ayeisha was born and raised in Western Australia and obtained her BSc (Hons) in Molecular Genetics and Biotechnology at Curtin University in 2015. She went on to complete her PhD in Biomedical Sciences at Curtin Medical School in 2025. To date her research has focussed on understanding how genetics and environmental factors interact to shape health and disease.


Since joining Perkins in 2025 she has been working in the breast cancer research space, with a particular focus on the Aboriginal breast cancer program. She is passionate about ensuring community involvement in research, promoting medical research and findings to the general community, and working towards making sure research outcomes are translated in a meaningful way.
