Lorraine Driscoll, a senior executive with extensive experience in state and local governments, associations and private enterprise, has been appointed to the Board of the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research (the Perkins).
Ms Driscoll currently serves as the Director Corporate & Commercial at the City of Canning.
Ms Jennifer Lawrence, Perkins Acting Chair, said Ms Driscoll’s broad experience across government, not-for-profits and private organisations would be a valuable addition to the Perkins leadership team.
“Lorraine is a highly motivated and passionate executive leader, and her expertise in finance, corporate governance and digital transformation will help guide the Perkins as we deliver on our strategic plan to grow WA’s largest medical research institute focusing on the diseases that most impact our families,” Ms Lawrence said.
Lorraine is a Board Director and Chair of the Finance, Risk and Audit Committee of Basketball WA. Lorraine has also served on the board of Visibility (Association for the Blind Inc) and between 2000 and 2007, she was Company Secretary and Treasurer for the Asia Pacific Lottery Association.
Lorraine is a Certified Practising Accountant (CPA), a Chartered Management Accountant (ACMA) and a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD).
