The Lotterywest BioDiscovery Centre was full of bright young minds with the John Curtin College of the Arts Year 7 Academic Excellent Program students visiting the Perkins in April.
The students pulled on their safety glasses, lab coats and gloves to conduct hands-on experiments using research-grade life sciences tools, including the micropipette.
Following their hard work in the lab, the students enjoyed a tour of the interactive displays at the Perkins and learned more about what it’s like to be a researcher – from Perkins researchers themselves!
The Lotterywest BioDiscovery Centre offers programs from Year 6 to Year 12, with content that is based on current research at the Perkins and linked back to the Australian Curriculum and WACE courses. To learn more about school group visits at the Perkins, click here.
