Key Supporters Manager

The Perkins is seeking a warm, relationship-focused and highly organised Key Supporters Manager to join our award-winning fundraising team. This position is offered on a part time, permanent basis (0.6 FTE), located at our state-of-the-art medical research facilities in Nedlands.

About this role

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Key Relationships, the Key Supporters Manager is responsible for developing, managing and strengthening relationships with corporate donors, Perkins Partners and prospective supporters to drive sustainable philanthropic support for the Perkins.

Working as part of a small but passionate Key Relationships team, this role will lead the growth, acquisition and stewardship of small to medium corporate supporters through meaningful engagement, tailored partnership strategies and exceptional supporter experiences. The role will also contribute to growing long-term philanthropic support aligned to the Institute’s fundraising priorities.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Developing and managing relationships with corporate donors, Perkins Partners and prospective supporters
  • Growing and promoting the Perkins Partners program to support fundraising targets and organisational priorities
  • Building and maintaining a pipeline of prospective supporters and partnership opportunities
  • Delivering tailored donor stewardship and engagement strategies to strengthen long-term relationships
  • Preparing donor communications, proposals, presentations and prospect research briefs
  • Supporting fundraising and partnership activities, including meetings, events and supporter engagement initiatives
  • Maintaining accurate and confidential donor records within the donor management system.

This role would suit someone who is relationship-driven, highly organised and genuinely passionate about building meaningful connections that create lasting impact through medical research.

To be successful in this role, you’ll have:

  • Experience in fundraising, philanthropy, donor engagement or relationship management, ideally within the not-for-profit sector
  • Demonstrated success managing supporter or donor relationships and securing philanthropic contributions
  • Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to connect with a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Strong written communication skills, including experience preparing donor-centric communications, proposals and engagement materials
  • A proactive and highly organised approach, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work both independently and collaboratively
  • Confidence engaging with supporters and navigating sensitive conversations with authenticity, professionalism and discretion
  • Experience coordinating events or personalised supporter experiences
  • A genuine passion for relationship-based fundraising and community impact
  • A current WA Driver’s Licence and willingness to obtain a National Police Clearance if required.
