Clinical Nurse Lead

Are you a dynamic nursing professional with experience in multidisciplinary care and a passion for making an impact in melanoma treatment?

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Clinical Nurse Lead to lead the delivery of care and coordination of WA’s Kirkbride Melanoma Advisory Service – WAKMAS. This is a unique opportunity to join a committed team, provide clinical leadership, and improve outcomes for melanoma patients across WA.

About this role

You will be responsible for coordinating the operations of WAKMAS, overseeing multidisciplinary team meetings, triaging new referrals, supervising clinical staff and supporting patients throughout their treatment journey. Working closely with internal teams, external clinicians and government stakeholders, you will play a pivotal role in driving best-practice clinical care and service improvement.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Coordinate and contribute to WAKMAS panel meetings
  • Triage referrals and manage patient follow-up
  • Provide clinical leadership and education to patients and staff
  • Lead quality improvement and ensure governance compliance
  • Oversee data reporting, rostering, and team development

To be successful in this role, you’ll have:

  • Registered Nurse with AHPRA and tertiary nursing qualifications
  • Demonstrated leadership in multidisciplinary cancer care
  • Strong knowledge of melanoma management and case coordination
  • Experience managing clinical services and patient databases
  • High-level communication, planning, and people management skills
