Business Analyst

The Perkins is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to work collaboratively between technical and non-technical teams with the aim of understanding business needs and recommending & executing ICT solutions to address these requirements.

This position is offered on a full time permanent basis, located at our state-of the-art medical research facilities in Nedlands.

About this role

Reporting to the General Manager of Technology, the Business Analyst will hold a key role in assessing and addressing the unique needs of various business functions, working closely with a wide range of stakeholders to propose and deliver technical solutions that help the Perkins continue to deliver our important vision of improving health outcomes globally.

The Business Analyst’s key goals will include:

  • Contribute to improvements in organisational business practices, productivity, and efficiency by analysing business activities in line with Perkins ICT strategic goals.
  • Drive measurable improvements in ICT processes and workflows by identifying bottlenecks, implementing solutions, and regularly tracking performance measures.
  • Maintain high stakeholder satisfaction through clear communication, timely solutions, and regular feedback.

This role would suit someone with a collaborative nature and experience in a similar Business Analyst role.

To be successful in this role, you’ll have:

  • Tertiary qualification in Business Administration, Information Technology or a related field (or equivalent experience in a similar role).
  • Previous experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within an ICT environment.
  • Demonstrated experience gathering, analysing and documenting business requirements, and translating them into clear and actionable technical specifications to guide technical development and implementation processes.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to act as a liaison between non-technical stakeholders and technical teams.
  • Ability to identify, assess and address issues and challenges during the business analysis and technical development processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders, ensuring their needs are fully understood and incorporated into the project scope, while also managing expectations and providing clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools, project management software and various ICT systems.
