Materials
Protein Detection Reagants
These tubes contain specific chemicals designed to glow pink if they detect a specific protein. If they glow pink when mixed with the patient's blood sample, it means this protein has been found in the patient's blood!
96-well Plate
This plate contains 96 wells! You can use the 16 in the top corner to test for the presence of 16 different proteins in the patients blood, to determine if there is a likelihood this patient may be developing cancer.
Patient Blood
This is a sample of our Patient's blood plasma. This is blood with all the red blood cells removed. If there are proteins found in the blood that should only be found in the organs, this is a marker for overactivity in this organ - which is a signal for cancer.
